As Transport Director, you'll be the driving force behind the structure, efficiency, and growth of our operations team. While the team is operationally very strong, we need a leader who can critically review processes, optimize them, and elevate the team.
We are looking for a Transport Director with specialization in the container industry.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Relevant experience in container transport, seaport, and inland terminal processes at least 5 years.
Polish in busienss communication is mandatory.
Fluent English and/or German.
- Knowledge about the TLS branch (competitors, trends, Legal aspects,)
- Knowledge of import/export and an affinity for sales.
- Experience in managing a team of over 20 people at least 5 years.
Availability and readiness to undertake foreign business trips to HQ in Belgium

Targets & Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility
Accountable for the financial performance of the transport division, including revenue, cost control, and profitability. - Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing recovery plans. Tracking performance metrics and initiating corrective actions when needed.
- Process optimization based on data and cost-price analyses (wages, assets, fuel, etc.)
Using data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. - Implementing a suitable TMS package to avoid duplication of work and increase productivity per FTE
Selecting and deploying a transport management system to streamline operations and enhance team output. - Developing long-term strategies in consultation with HQ
Aligning transport operations with the company’s strategic goals through forward-thinking planning. - People management: managing and developing both blue-collar and white-collar workers
Leading diverse teams, fostering growth, and ensuring effective collaboration across roles. - Detecting inefficiencies by working closely with the team and developing solutions together
Engaging with staff to identify bottlenecks and co-create practical improvements. - Hands-on management of daily operations
Overseeing day-to-day transport activities and ensuring smooth execution of tasks.
