To ensure the further growth of our branch in Belgium, we are looking for a motivated (m/f):

Garage Employee

Purpose of the position:

Able to work independently. This includes replacing tires and repairing lighting on trucks, minor maintenance work on lifting and hoisting machinery.

 Responsibilities:

Replacing trailer and tractor tires:

• Estimate when tires need to be replaced and when not;
• Remove and install tires on the truck;
• Learn to recognize abnormalities (e.g. leak);

Do tire administration and complete work sheet correctly:

• Write down the identification correctly (there are 50 species)
• Determine damage and residual value

 Repair work on fleet: Tractor, Trailer, Chassis

• Replacing the lighting of different types of vehicles
• Find and repair electrical faults
• Small trailer repairs: bed, tie cord, planks, wings, etc.
• Minor welding work

Maintenance of lifting and hoisting equipment, stacker: forklift trucks:

• Check operating hours regularly and schedule maintenance visits
• Maintenance is outsourced – small matters are handled in-house

Keep the warehouse and garage tidy and create organization

• Determining and checking your own stock of tires and small parts

Dock puller:

• Training is provided internally, so that the employee obtains an internal certificate for internal transport movements with Terberg;
• Picking up trailers and chassis for both internal and external customers;

On-board computer

• Install and repair on-board computers where necessary (training to be followed)

Breakdown on the track

Profile:

• CE driving license is an asset
• Already gained initial technical experience
• Ready to relocate and live in Belgium
• Eager to learn
• Able to work independently;

• Communication skills in English B1 level
• Insight into your own work planning;
